Events have returned, stores are doing business, and We’re Back! Pardon us while we borrow a slogan from many Orlando eateries. They have removed the “Closed Until Further Notice Signs” and replaced them with “We’re Back!”
Enhance Events and Products With Bullhorn Media
And this declaration holds true for special events, shopping, dining and fun all over the city of Orlando. There is a definite “school’s out for summer” feeling on the sidewalks of Central Florida. We are shaking off the doldrums of quarantine and the depression of COVID-19.
That is not to say the continuing threat of the coronavirus is completely ignored. You will find many places and events following very careful COVID-19 protocols. But resilient Floridians and visitors are dealing with their New Normal. Just ask anyone who has been to Universal Theme Park where every summer ensemble includes shorts and a mask. One thing about summer 2020 that isn’t new: The Summer Heat.
Dining Out is Back In!
Speaking of the Orlando eateries… They make every meal a small personal event. From early breakfast to Saturday night dinner, the restaurants of Orlando have figured out how to serve you delicious dishes… But they still keep you COVID-19 safe. From downtown to Universal’s City Walk, the restaurants of Orlando welcome you to their new normal. You might be admitted with a temperature check. You will see handy sanitation stations and socially distanced tables.
We know this is free advertising. However, we thought you’d be so interested that you would not mind. At many restaurants, remember you must make reservations at many places due to under- staffing, social distancing and earlier closing hours. We covered some theme park information and now we turn our attention to businesses with products and services. They, like the eateries, are still following rules to keep you save from COVID-19. But…
We’re Back! Events and Products on Parade–In Icon Park
It is so really refreshing to see people walking around Icon Park again, even if they are masked or social distancing. The most visible part of Icon Park is The Wheel. Even if you are a native Floridian, you might be shocked to know that we have tallest observation wheel on the East Coast. It’s 400 feet straight up. Likewise you will find Madam Tussaud’s and all the wax works of stars and celebrities. And did you know there is an amazing whale skeleton, also in Icon Park, at Skeletons: Museum of Osteology? Of course we must mention the underwater fantasy of a 360-degree ocean tunnel. You will see it at the Sea Life Orlando Aquarium.
Signs of Events Soon to Be Held at OCCC
Our Orange County Convention Center, the premiere sporting arena in the USA, will be hosting the AAU National Volley Ball tournaments next month, July 14-22. And they will be bringing 110,000 enthusiasts to our city. The tournament is not open to the public, but it is a sign that life will continue while science copes with the corona virus threat. Consult this informative online resource for all the details.
We are so proud to see the Orange County Convention Center opening up its spotlights on youth sports. And of course, Bullhorn Media is equally proud to see them doing so in a safe and healthy way for all involved.
July 23-26 marks the arrival of the RV Show at OCCC. And it will be the first event in a long time that will be open to the public. They expect at least 5,000 to attend this event, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and families.

From Pointe Orlando to Disney Springs, business is opening up for the shopper in us all. For the moment, our best shopper’s hint is that if you’re looking for certain stores, you should check the hours. They might be different since the business resumed sales after the Pandemic. Whether you live in Orlando or are planning a trip, we know that boutiques, department stores, and specialty stores are eager to serve you.
Products: The Heart of Doing Business
On the other side of the coin, if you are the owner of an eatery, boutique or business struggling to re-open, please allow Bullhorn Media to emphasize the value of good product photography.
Secrets of the Product Shoot
Whether your business is online or in a brick and mortar shop, your product or service must be the star. Knowing this, and knowing the incredible economic importance of reopening after a Pandemic, we are dismayed at the amount of poor photography some business owners are using to advertise good products.
Poor photography can make great food look inedible.
Likewise incorrect photography can make beautiful servers look harsh. Amateurish photography online or on brochures can make or break many sales.
Since we are aware that your images represent your products, we have decided to reveal the four main secrets of product photography. Keep these in mind before you put any more photographs online. Then, you will see your sales improve.
Product Shoot Secret 1. Flash Won’t Show Off Your Product (…or Your People, By the Way)
Start by disengaging your flash. Most of the time, you will see that the glare of flash on your product makes the image look harsh and badly lit—even cheap. We will explain how to avoid this in our upcoming blog.
2. Utilize Simplicity.
In this digital age, everyone loves the creativity of photography. Sometimes creativity can get out of control. This leads to a cluttered look in the photo. Again, our next blog will explain more details. For now, let us say that your product on a non-glare background is not boring. It’s clear and modern what you are selling.
3. Remove Distracting Elements from Your Product Shot.
Edit your product shoot carefully. Take extra stuff out of the picture. It detracts from the item you want to sell. For example, a local baker used a ornate teacup to prop up her cookies. She received 98 inquiries before the owner had time to take the image off her website. By the way, none of the callers ordered cookies. We’ll tell you more in our next blog.
4. Creative Depth of Field Will Showcase the Details.
Now, this idea refers to a little bit of basic Photo 101. You see, a low aperture number will create a shallow depth of field. That will “highlight the elements that make your product special. Since people can’t physically handle your product, you’ve got to make sure you show them everything there is to show. . . including the details.”
We’ll tell you the whole story in Part 2, entitled Basics Secrets of a Product Shoot. On the other hand, you don’t even have to wait for Part 2, Call Bullhorn Media today. Our professionals can make your product look as good as it is!
