A New Year’s Verse to Welcome You to 2020

2020 Brings Video Trends to Enliven Your Business!

Will You Learn About the New Trending Video and Bring Success to Your Biz in 2020?

Before going into 2020 video trends, let us begin first with a Bullhorn New Year’s Greeting.  Ironically, however, the wish we are blasting your way actually originated in the past. In 1893, George William Curtis greeted the custom New Year’s Day with a verse that amazingly is still fitting as New Year’s Wish for Today:

He wrote “It is the day of hope and a fresh beginning.

“Old debts shall be forgiven…old friendships revived.”

And, referring to New Year’s Day, he added, “To‑day shall be better than yesterday.”  Thus, “the good vows shall be kept. A blessing shall be wrung from the fleet angel Opportunity.”

Then he concluded, “There shall be more patience, more courage, more faith; the dream shall become life. To‑day shall wear the glamour of tomorrow. Ring out the old, ring in the new!”

A Bullhorn Full of Cool Video Trends

Certainly, each year we have seen new fads come and go in the video world.  However, we believe the word “trends” is more significant than fad or style.  Therefore, in this blog, and our next one, we will be listing some video trends that might make a genuine difference in the bottom-line of your business.

1.      Shoppable Videos:  Trending Now.

The Newest Video Trends will Highlight the Success Trail.

Video Trends, “VR” and “AI” Will Continue to Expand Your Media Marketing Options in 2020.

We are very excited about the idea of a shoppable video.  Firstly, in one of our favorite video trends, ads have links to products.

So we might see a rug we like in an advertising video and hover over it with our cursor. Then, the link pops out and tells us where to buy the rug.  Thus it goes with all the special products in the story or setting of the video. (See examples on Instagram Stories and Snapchat.) Of course, as we enter 2020, we will see that professional videos are refining this technique.

The experts at Design 99 put it this way, “It’s reasonable to predict that you’ll soon be able to buy products or get links to them by interacting with those objects within a video.”  Likewise, you might be able to highlight an exclusive deal for your video viewers.

2.       The Growing World of 360 Video

Moreover, ask any savvy real estate agent about the Interactive 360 video.  Certainly, you find it used for sports, games and tourist attractions.   It has a style that fits the coming decade, a sort of futuristic look.  At Bullhorn Media, we believe it will grow just as AR and VR are continuing to grow.  Experts are agreeing, saying, “While not easy to produce (just yet) it could be a great way to set your product videos apart from your competition and really captivate your customer base.”

3.        Video Conferencing:  Video Trends That Teach

Google Hangouts and Zoom have forever changed meetings and conferencing inside and outside of companies. We agree with other video specialists that one-on-one live talks are also valuable. Alternatively, video conferencing creates a great learning environment.

Instructive “meetings” and question and answer sessions work well in this style of format. And they are relatively easy to write, shoot and produce. Although their content might change over time, such videos could be supportive of either employees or consumers.

Perhaps this growing type of “live” but repeatable video would be a basic and profitable way to teach employees lessons about your products or services. Likewise, it could be a new way to inform consumers about your products or services. These videos would be a lot more personal than email.  And where would technical support be without eye-to-eye lessons and screen-sharing?

4.       Searchable Videos

Let New Video Trends and Creative Techniques Drive Your Business Forward in the New Year.

One of our favorite video trends is that search engines like Google are moving websites with video up the ladder.  “Over the past few years, videos have inched closer to the top of organic search results on both desktop and mobile pages.”

We have written quite a bit about AI in 2019.  Now Google has announced that their AI will grab the snippets your video. And then, these snippets will auto-play on search result pages. How cool is that?

Let’s spell it out. For example,  you manufacture gizmos. A consumer is searching for information on gizmos preliminary to buying one. Consequently, he or she will see a snippet of your video in the course of his or her search on Gizmos—automatically.  “This will make the video even more important to effective search optimization for brands and businesses.”  We believe this is one of the video trends will be responsible not only for individual sales but for the growth of your brand.

5.        One of our Best Video Trends is Exploding:  Education

From free videos on YouTube to Masterclass seminars, training and education are already became a huge trend in 2019. We know this is an expanding trend.  You see, companies are getting more and more excited about teaching consumers the proper use of their products. Therefore, It’s not just advertising. It’s expert instruction.

This is one of the many video trends we see as a win-win for both businesses and consumers. What could your business create as a how-to video?  Would it be better than an instruction booklet? More personal? More fun?
